Parachute Regiment Memorial
We were privileged to undertake the complete restoration of this memorial for the parachute regiment, it will be positioned within a church in the centre of Manchester.
The project involved completely stripping off the old varnish to reveal the beauty oak wood grain beneath. We then carved out the inscription again deeper, stained the oak using a very old ammonia method, sealed the wood and then gilded the inscription and cap badges in 23.5 carat finest gold leaf.
The client was absolutely delighted with the results.
