Project Info
We were extremely proud to be involved in the Roberts Park regeneration project in the World Heritage town of Saltaire.
Brian the Brush produced this fine example of a Victorian handpainted sign to the highest standard, truly reflecting the style of traditional Victorian splendour.
The project involved the traditional handpainted signwriting of the 20 original regulations, together with other details onto a 25mm piece of exterior plywood.
This was then varnished and set inside a 100mm oak moulding with a 3mm non-reflective, anti-graffiti perspex sheet.
Very few signwriting companies in the country are capable of producing a sign of such style and skill, especially as top class traditional handpainted signwriters are now very few and far between. And we believe we are the best.
Painstakingly re-created by hand to reflect the style of the day (as was the original sign commissioned by Sir Titus Salt) this Brian the Brush sign is the final part of the £4.5 million restoration project which began in 2009 and was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Bradford Council and the Friends of Roberts Park.
