We were asked to create this yellow undulating line around the entire length of the new Vivarium Gallery at Manchester University.
Due to time constraints, this had to be carried out on the ‘night shift’ which we were happy to do to help our clients meet their opening schedule.
The project involved setting out the line, which stretch over 70 metres, by hand, to a predetermined layout around the gallery walls. Our brief was that the line should match the bright yellow already used in the printed details on the illuminated display panels and help link exhibits and information. We worked with our client to develop the right colour match, interpreted the design artwork into a handpainted format on the walls and ceiling, then, utilising our traditional skills we created a lively and imaginative work of art around the Vivarium.
The client was absolutely delighted with the work.
