Project Info
Image 1 – Being delighted with our previous work there, we were favoured with additional architectural goldleaf gilding work at St Patrick’s.
This time the project involved the gilding of decorative wooden fretwork panels that are positioned behind the altar.
These were originally plain wood but the addition of the goldleaf creatively enhance the panels, making a spectacular focal point of the altar.
We are happy to be involved with the most intricate of goldleaf gilding projects.
Image 2 – Statue of christ after we have worked our magic! Restoration work included goldleaf gilding of entire statue and other areas of the cross, re-painting and varnishing of the cross and sections at each end of the cross.
Image 3 – Close up image of the gilded Christ, gilded banner and paintwork.
Image 4 – Further gilding work to the bottom of the cross.
